"We found this little gem when we saw the sign for it in Alva.  Very crowded with locals at lunchtime and we can see why.  When our beef BBQ sandwich arrived, it was enormous!  The beef is chopped fine and is moist and tangy with what tastes like a tomato base sauce; the fresh homemade bun is outstanding (wish other BBQ restaurants paid as much attention to the bread as they do to the meat).  The atmosphere is what I call "typical sticky table" or the kind of place that says they know what they're doing.  It's so much fun discovering delicious food on the road!"

"Wonderful, flavorful Bar-B-Que...tender, smoked beef ribs and brisket, homemade Bar-B-Que sauce. If you are headed west on highway 64 towards Alva, Oklahoma you need to plan to stop here if you like Bar-B-Que."

"When in the area of Cherokee, OK checkout the "SMOK-SHAK, Inc" in the ghost town of Ingersoll, OK. You'll be glad you did... Great food, great atmosphere and good small town folks... A very memorable experience!"

"Best hamburger in the land!"
